J.P. America Inc. has been continuously and
actively engaged in the design and manufacture of noise silencing
systems for over two decades. During this time, we have been established
and recognized throughout the industry as one of the most knowledgeable
and leading suppliers of this type of equipment in North America.
We have been able to enjoy this reputation as a result of the very
high standards applied to our engineering design, as well as the high
quality standards applied to our manufactured products. The users of
our equipment have been our best advertisers.
We have designed and manufactured silencing systems for just about every type of fan, and for the majority of fan manufacturers. Our equipment has been used throughout the world, in a multitude of different applications. Our innovative designs have produced self-cleaning silencers where fly-ash or heavy dust loading is a concern, silencers which must support a one hundred foot (thirty meter) stack, five feet (two meters) in diameter, silencers that are subject to a corrosive atmosphere (we used a combination of plastic and fiberglass), as well as silencers that are disassembled for cleaning or for transportation reasons. Our
silencing expertise is well coupled with our vibration control knowledge.
A recent contract was to supply a concrete inertia base at a Pacific
coast pulp mill This base was custom designed to vibrationally isolate
a primary air fan. Seismic considerations were also a prime concern.
When completed we engineered and manufactured a vibration system
to support over three hundred and seventy-five thousand pounds (170,500
kg), six stories up. We believe this is the largest of its kind
on the continent.
